The Department for Employment and Learning, in partnership with the Association of Northern Ireland Colleges, held a half day Conference in Armagh to prepare for the introduction of the Special Educational Needs and Disability (NI) Order 2005.
The aim of the conference was to inform colleges of their obligations under the Order which is expected to become fully operational from 1 September 2005. The Order will have a significant impact on the further and higher education sectors and will affect all aspects of the day to day operation of colleges, as well as physical access and access to the curriculum.
